Ultra Miami 2027 Phase 1 lineup is here: Calvin Harris returns, plus a Marshmello B2B Subtronics world debut. See the full first wave
Ultra Music Festival has fired the starting gun on its 2027 campaign, and the first wave is built on marquee returns and genuinely rare pairings. On Tuesday, the festival unveiled the Phase 1 lineup for its 27th edition, confirming that Calvin Harris will headline Bayfront Park in downtown Miami across the March 26 to 28 weekend, his first appearance at the event since his blockbuster 2024 set. More than 25 headliners are already locked, and tickets are on sale now at UltraMusicFestival.com, well ahead of the Phases still to come.
Harris anchors a returning cast that reads like a who’s who of main-stage dance music. Martin Garrix, Armin van Buuren, Steve Aoki and Dom Dolla are all back, with Afrojack bringing his live show to Ultra Miami for the first time ever. The booking of Dom Dolla carries its own subplot: this marks his first solo Ultra Miami set since 2022, after he closed out 2025 with a John Summit back-to-back under the Everything Always banner. That move, from a shared slot to a solo headline, captures the logic of the whole announcement.
A Lineup Built on World Debuts and Rare B2Bs
If the returns supply the star power, the collaborations supply the intrigue. The clear centerpiece is the world debut of Marshmello b2b Subtronics, a crossover that fuses Marshmello’s festival-sized melodic instincts with Subtronics’ bludgeoning dubstep, a pairing few would have predicted on paper. Ultra is also staging the US debut of Boris Brejcha b2b Eric Prydz presents Cirez D, a summit of two of techno’s most meticulous producers, alongside tag sets from Alison Wonderland b2b Tiffany Day and Nico Moreno b2b NOVAH.
The curveball may be DJ Pee .Wee, the dance alias of Anderson .Paak, who will make his Ultra Miami debut with a set rooted in funk, soul and dance music. Rounding out the early bill are Boys Noize, Klangkuenstler, Holy Priest, Bunt, It’s Murph and Liquid Stranger, a spread that signals Ultra’s intent to cover the full stylistic map before Phase 2 even lands.
RESISTANCE Milestones and the Stakes for 2027
As ever, the underground engine is Ultra’s RESISTANCE brand, and in 2027 it reaches several firsts. The weekend will host debut festival takeovers from Mau P’s Baddest Behavior and Adam Beyer’s Drumcode, plus Miss Monique presents BIORHYTHM and the premiere of Sara Landry’s new audiovisual experience built around her forthcoming sophomore album, “Divine Intervention.” Michael Bibi, Indira Paganotto and I Hate Models have also been confirmed as RESISTANCE headliners. On the main side, SOFI TUKKER’s Animal Talk becomes Ultra Miami’s inaugural Live Stage takeover.
The commercial context explains the ambition. According to the festival, the 2027 edition follows a sold-out 2026 that drew 165,000 attendees from more than 100 countries, numbers that cement Ultra’s claim as the world’s premier electronic gathering. That momentum arrives on firmer ground, too: earlier this year Ultra secured a 20-year Bayfront Park contract, locking in its downtown home despite ongoing local noise complaints and effectively guaranteeing the festival’s Miami future into the 2040s.
Launched in 1999, Ultra has long functioned as the unofficial centerpiece of Miami Music Week and a global barometer for where dance music is heading. The 2027 Phase 1 reveal keeps to the script that has made it essential, balancing nostalgia-driven returns against formats no one has seen before. With Harris back in the room, techno’s heavyweights converging, and a slate of world debuts already booked, Ultra has set a high bar for its own next announcement. For now, the countdown to Bayfront is officially on, and the biggest names are only starting to drop.
