Tomorrowland confirms its first-ever Asia edition in Thailand, December 11-13, 2026, at Wisdom Valley in Pattaya with 50,000 daily attendees expected
After more than two years of speculation, diplomatic meetings, and carefully worded statements, it is official: Tomorrowland is coming to Asia. The Belgian dance music institution has confirmed that Tomorrowland Thailand will take place December 11 through 13, 2026, at Wisdom Valley in Pattaya, a coastal site roughly 90 miles southeast of Bangkok. The announcement marks the first full-scale edition of Tomorrowland on Asian soil, and the brand’s expansion onto a fourth continent.
The confirmed venue, Wisdom Valley in Khao Mai Kaew, Bang Lamung District, Chonburi Province, sits on a 237-acre site and will host six stages across the three-day run, including the legendary Mainstage and, for the first time ever in Asia, the iconic CORE and FREEDOM stages. Organizers are projecting more than 50,000 festivalgoers per day, placing the total attendance ceiling well above 150,000 across the full weekend. Unlike the flagship event in Boom, Belgium, there will be no DreamVille camping option for attendees. Hotel packages went on sale February 28, with the worldwide general ticket sale opening March 7.
The announcement was confirmed in a joint statement released Tuesday, January 6, 2026, by Tomorrowland’s organizers alongside the Thai Government and the Tourism Authority of Thailand, who are official partners of the event. “Hosting Tomorrowland in Thailand marks an important milestone in our ambition to position the country as a leader in global tourism and creative experiences,” the Tourism Authority said. “We look forward to welcoming people from all over the world to discover the beauty, culture, and hospitality of Thailand.”
A Long Road to Asia
The road to this moment was not a straight one. Tomorrowland first publicly signaled serious interest in a Thai edition back in March 2024, when festival PR head Debby Wilmsen confirmed to Billboard that “Tomorrowland has a real interest in Thailand and is seriously exploring the possibility,” while cautioning that no formal confirmation existed at that stage. By June 2025, Thai Prime Minister Paetongtarn Shinawatra met personally with Tomorrowland executives Bruno Vanwelsenaers and Filip Teelinck in Bangkok to advance the project. The talks confirmed what the industry had suspected: Southeast Asia was not a sideshow, it was a strategic priority.
The Thailand edition follows Tomorrowland’s history of calculated international expansion. The festival launched in Boom, Belgium in 2004 and spent the next two decades building one of the most recognizable brands in global live music. International editions in the United States ran from 2013 to 2015. Tomorrowland Brasil has run multiple editions in São Paulo state. The annual Tomorrowland Winter event takes place each year in the French Alps. Thailand adds Asia to that map, and the ambition behind the partnership is clear on both sides.
The lineup has not been officially announced, but confirmed artists already circulating include Swedish House Mafia, who Axwell confirmed on One World Radio, saying plainly, “We’re going to be there in December.” Martin Garrix and Afrojack have also been confirmed, as has the duo NERVO, who announced their booking mid-set during Tomorrowland Winter. The full lineup reveal is expected in the coming months.
The cultural stakes extend well beyond ticket sales. Thailand’s government has framed the festival as a cornerstone of its broader soft power strategy, with the Tourism Authority noting that the event “is expected to generate a significant impact on the local and national economy, boosting tourism, hospitality, and creative industries.” For the global dance music community, it represents a long-overdue acknowledgment that Asia is not a secondary market but a central one.
