Cardi B returns with ‘Ah Ha,’ her first single of 2026, a club-ready anthem with a Trump diss and a new NYC-set video
Cardi B does not do quiet years, and “Ah Ha“ is her reminder that the throne is still occupied. The Bronx superstar released the club-ready single on July 31 via Atlantic Records, marking her first solo release of 2026 and her first new music since her chart-topping second album. Produced by DJ SwanQo, it is a classic Cardi cut, laughing at haters, flaunting her money, and humiliating a few undeserving men, and it now arrives with a music video that finds her soaking up a very New York summer.
The track wastes no time reasserting her dominance. Built on hard-hitting, revved-up club production, “Ah Ha” is packed with the braggadocious, quotable energy that made Cardi a star, mocking her detractors and making clear she remains on top. “A n—a can’t trap me, I won’t keep it / B—es really hate me, so be it,” she raps, before the taunting hook where she is “laughin’ like ‘Ah, ha.'” It is pure Cardi: sexy, funny, and unbothered.
A Trump Diss and a New York State of Mind
Cardi B also uses the record to take a shot at the political establishment. “Black trucks at the club look like Trump in this b—h, f–k him,” she spits, folding a pointed jab at Donald Trump into an otherwise celebratory anthem. It is a reminder that even at her most playful, Cardi has never been shy about her politics, and the line drew immediate attention as one of the song’s most talked-about moments.
The newly released visual, directed by Arrad and featuring a cameo from Detroit rapper Kash Doll, leans fully into hometown energy. The clip follows Cardi through a quintessential New York summer, all bikes, stoop hangs, and city swagger, translating the song’s carefree confidence into images. At one point on the track she even taunts a rival with a singsong “na na na boo boo,” the kind of gleeful pettiness that has always been part of her charm.

“Ah Ha” lands in the middle of one of the most dominant runs of Cardi’s career. Her sophomore album Am I the Drama?, released in September 2025, debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 and has since accumulated more than 14 billion global streams.
