Tomorrowland Winter 2027 returns to Alpe d’Huez from March 20 to 27, with packages and tickets on sale in October
Tomorrowland is heading back to the mountains. On September 14, organizers confirmed that Tomorrowland Winter 2027 will return to Alpe d’Huez in the French Alps from March 20 to 27, marking the seventh edition of the festival’s alpine spin-off. More than 22,000 attendees are expected across the week, with over 150 electronic artists set to perform across indoor and outdoor stages scattered through the resort and high up the mountain. The 2027 lineup is still to come, but festival packages and passes begin going on sale in October.
The appeal of Tomorrowland Winter has always been its dual identity, a world-class electronic festival fused with a full alpine ski holiday. Across seven days, the event spreads throughout Alpe d’Huez, with stages set around the village and higher up the slopes, letting attendees ski and snowboard by day before moving into the music at night. Mountain stages have previously included Le Signal, Folie Douce, and Chantebise, while the village hosts the indoor MainStage, Moosebar, and CAGE once the lifts close.
A Festival Built Into the Mountain
What separates this from a standard festival is the terrain itself. The wider Alpe d’Huez Grand Domaine Ski area offers more than 250 kilometres of slopes and 78 lifts connecting Alpe d’Huez, Oz-en-Oisans, Auris-en-Oisans, Vaujany, and Villard-Reculas. Crucially, attendees do not need to ski to reach the mountain stages, which remain accessible on foot, and the resort also offers paragliding, snowshoeing, and around 50 kilometres of Nordic trails. One of its best-known runs, La Sarenne, begins at Pic Blanc more than 3,330 metres above sea level and stretches 16 kilometres.
That setting has drawn some of dance music’s biggest names since the festival launched. The 2025 edition alone featured more than 150 artists, including Armin van Buuren, Axwell, Amelie Lens, Alok, Lost Frequencies, Meduza, Nina Kraviz, Steve Aoki, Sub Zero Project, Vintage Culture, and W&W. It is the kind of bill that would anchor any summer festival, delivered against a backdrop of snow-capped peaks and starry alpine skies.
Tickets, Packages, and What Comes Next
For 2027, the on-sale schedule is staggered. Those planning the full week get first access when 7-Day Festival Packages go on sale October 3 at 15:00 CEST, each including festival access, accommodation, and a Lift & Ski Pass, with transport or a “Discover Paris” experience available as add-ons. Shorter 4-Day Packages follow on October 10 at 15:00 CEST, and from 17:00 CEST that day, standalone 1-Day, 4-Day, and 7-Day Festival Tickets become available for those arranging their own accommodation. Every Festival Ticket bundles in a Lift & Ski Pass for the matching days.
There are a few scheduling quirks worth noting. The 7-Day Pass covers March 20 to 26, while the 4-Day option runs March 23 to 26. The MainStage does not open until Tuesday, meaning one-day passes for March 20 to 22 grant access to the wider festival but not the MainStage. Pre-registration is already open, and Tomorrowland’s official simulator lets prospective attendees compare accommodation, transport, and package options before sales begin.
The return continues a story that started in March 2019, when the inaugural edition, dubbed “The Hymn of the Frozen Lotus,” sold 30,000 tickets and brought Martin Garrix, Armin van Buuren, DJ Snake, and Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike to the Alps for the first time. After a two-year Covid-enforced pause, the festival resumed in 2022 and has since become a fixture, expanding Tomorrowland’s global footprint alongside its Belgian flagship, Brazilian edition, and the newly launched Tomorrowland Thailand.
With ski season and festival season colliding once more, Tomorrowland Winter 2027 is positioned to sell fast, as its editions typically do. The dates are locked, the sales calendar is set, and the only remaining question is who will actually be playing. That lineup reveal, expected ahead of next March, is now the announcement the dance world is waiting on.
