Olivia Dean will make her Philippine debut headlining LaLaLa Fest 2027 at the Philippine Arena on Jan. 14, with BINI, UDD and more
Olivia Dean is bringing The Art of Loving to Southeast Asia, and the Philippines gets the first dance. The British singer-songwriter will headline LaLaLa Fest 2027, performing at the Philippine Arena in Bulacan on Jan. 14, her first-ever show in the country. The booking, announced Oct. 9 by promoter Wilbros Live, marks another step in the global rise of one of the UK’s most quietly commanding new pop voices.
The Manila date anchors a compact three-city Southeast Asian run for Dean, who will play the Jakarta edition of LaLaLa Fest on Jan. 17 and Bangkok on Jan. 20. The Philippine stop is the festival’s second Manila edition, following a debut local run in August 2026, and a sign of how aggressively the Jakarta-born festival brand is expanding across the region.

A Breakthrough Year, Now Global
Dean arrives in Asia on a career-best wave. Her second album, The Art of Loving, released in September 2025, became a commercial breakthrough, topping the UK Official Albums Chart while its single ‘Man I Need‘ simultaneously claimed No. 1 on the singles chart, a rare double for a rising artist. In the Philippines, ‘Man I Need’ has been a genuine hit in its own right, peaking at No. 3 on the Billboard Philippines Hot 100 and still lingering in the chart’s mid-reaches at the time of the announcement.
That local traction explains the headliner slot. Dean has described The Art of Loving as a record about recognizing the love you deserve and not being afraid to ask for it, a theme that has clearly resonated with Filipino listeners. The album followed her acclaimed 2023 debut ‘Messy’ and cemented her as more than a buzz act, a point underlined by her appearance at the 2026 Mercury Prize ceremony. With an EP titled ‘Growth’ also on the way, her momentum shows no sign of cooling.
A Lineup Built on Local Heroes
LaLaLa Fest has paired its international headliner with a deliberately homegrown bill. Leading the Filipino contingent is BINI, the P-pop juggernaut named Artist of the Year at the 2026 Filipino Music Awards and arguably the biggest act in the country right now. They are joined by UDD, the veteran band formerly known as Up Dharma Down, alongside Lola Amour and SunKissed Lola, with more names promised. It is a canny bit of programming, bridging a global streaming star with the acts Filipino audiences already pack arenas to see.
The choice of venue signals ambition. The Philippine Arena is the largest indoor arena in the world, and staging a festival there positions LaLaLa Fest as a major player in a live market that has become one of Asia’s most coveted touring destinations. For international artists, the Philippines has evolved from a tour afterthought into an essential stop, and Dean’s debut is part of that broader shift.
How to Get Tickets
Tickets roll out in stages across the week. An artist pre-sale begins Oct. 14, followed by a GoTyme Bank pre-sale running Oct. 15 to 16. General sale opens Oct. 17 via Ticketmelon. Given BINI’s drawing power and the strength of ‘Man I Need’ locally, demand is likely to be brisk.
For Dean, the show is both a milestone and a statement. Few British artists of her generation have translated UK chart dominance into genuine Southeast Asian pull this quickly, and headlining an arena-scale festival on her first visit is proof the connection is already there. The Art of Loving, it turns out, travels. On Jan. 14, a Philippine Arena crowd will get to sing it back to her.
