Khalid announces his 2026 Australian and New Zealand arena tour with special guest Lauv, kicking off November 10 in Auckland

Khalid is coming back. The multi-platinum El Paso-bred R&B singer has announced five arena dates across Australia and New Zealand this November, confirming the It’s Always Summer Somewhere Tour with Lauv joining as special guest for every show. It is his first full arena run in the region since 2019, and the timing feels right.

The last time Khalid brought a proper tour to these shores, he was promoting Free Spirit. A lot has changed since then. In 2024, he returned quietly, playing two intimate shows at the Sydney Opera House to debut his third album, Sincere, before a single note had leaked anywhere else. This time, the scale shifts back to arenas and the music behind it is his boldest statement yet. His fourth album, After the Sun Goes Down, arrived in October 2025 via Right Hand Music Group/RCA Records. Khalid called it about “taking my power back, living in my truth, and being able to express myself freely.” The record leans into R&B, dance, and a certain 2000s pop nostalgia, drawing from the energy of Rihanna, Britney Spears, and Janet Jackson. It is Khalid in full color, finally.

Five Nights, Five Cities

The tour opens at Auckland’s Spark Arena on Tuesday, November 10, before heading into Australia. Brisbane’s Riverstage follows on November 11, then Sydney’s Qudos Bank Arena on November 13, Melbourne’s Rod Laver Arena on November 15, and the run closes at Perth’s RAC Arena on November 18. All shows are licensed all ages. Telstra Plus Members get first access to tickets in Australia, with the pre-sale opening Monday, March 23 at 10 am local time. The Frontier Members pre-sale opens Thursday, March 26 at 11 am local time, and the general sale begins Friday, March 27 at 12 pm local time. Full ticketing details are available at the Khalid and Frontier Touring websites.

A Full-Circle Moment With the Right Co-Star

Lauv as support is a smart pairing. The multi-platinum singer and songwriter has spent the last few years quietly building one of the more consistent catalogues in indie-leaning pop, and his warm, emotionally direct style sits naturally alongside Khalid’s own. Both artists have built loyal followings on the back of music that is honest without being heavy.

Khalid put it plainly in a statement. “It’s been a minute since I’ve been able to get out and really connect with people face to face, and I’ve missed that more than anything,” he said. “This tour feels like a full-circle moment for me, being back on stage, in places that I love, sharing these songs in real time, and feeling that energy again.”

He has also been building momentum into the tour. In early 2026, he linked with Kygo and Griffyn on the dance-leaning Save My Love,” and on the day the tour was announced, he dropped a new collaborative track, Dive Into Me,” with DJ Alok. Khalid is not winding down between albums. He is accelerating.

Australia gets him in November. Five cities, one run. Consider the summer started early.
