Lewis Knaggs‘ new single, “Forget How To Forgive“ was recorded in a single take: one acoustic guitar, his voice, nothing else. Written in the shadow of losing someone, the single carries what grief tends to leave behind once the worst of it passes: a new and uncomfortable awareness of time, and how little of it makes sense to waste.

Knaggs is a London-based singer-songwriter working somewhere between indie rock, Americana and grunge, writing music that is loud and restless and honest in roughly equal measure. His live reputation has taken him further than the bedroom-recording context might suggest: he was recently invited to perform on Red Bull’s stage at the Monaco Grand Prix, which is about as far from a single acoustic take as a stage gets.
UK dates and radio support are in the works, and Lewis has shared more music is coming. For now, “Forget How to Forgive” does what the best songs written from loss tend to do: it makes the time you have left feel like something worth paying attention to.
