Tyla announces her first global headline run, the 34-date ‘A*POP World Tour,’ opening in Paris on Oct. 12 and closing with African homecoming shows
Tyla is not letting A*POP sit still for a week. Days after releasing her sophomore album on July 24, the South African star announced The A*POP World Tour on Monday (July 27), a 34-date global run that will be the first full headline tour of her career across Europe, North America, and Africa. The trek opens October 12 at the Zenith in Paris and runs into early 2027, and for an artist who broke through only three years ago, it is a statement of how far and how fast her reach has expanded.
The routing tells the story of an artist going truly global. The European and UK leg moves through Amsterdam, London, Glasgow, Manchester, Brussels, Berlin, Copenhagen, Oslo, and Stockholm before the North American run opens November 12 at Hard Rock Live in Wheatland, California. From there she hits San Francisco, Vancouver, Seattle, Denver, Chicago, Boston, Toronto, Brooklyn, Washington, Atlanta, Houston, Austin, San Diego, Los Angeles, and Las Vegas, wrapping the leg December 19 at Fontainebleau Las Vegas. The finale is the part that matters most to her: a homecoming stretch in Africa, with shows in Lagos, Cape Town, and Johannesburg running through December and January, venues still to be announced.
From ‘Water’ to Worldwide
The scale of this tour is earned. Tyla’s ascent has been almost absurdly steep since “Water” turned her into a global phenomenon in 2023, and the hardware backs it up. She won the inaugural Grammy for Best African Music Performance with “Water” in 2024, then took the same award again in 2025 for “Push 2 Start,” making her back-to-back winner of a category she effectively announced herself into. A*POP arrives on the momentum of “Chanel,” which spent 17 weeks on the Hot 100, and “She Did It Again,” her collaboration with Zara Larsson.
The album itself is the argument the tour will make live. Across 14 tracks, A*POP blends the amapiano sound Tyla came up on with R&B, dancehall, and house, the fusion she has branded popiano. Speaking to Rolling Stone about the record, she framed it as a more assured chapter. “Me being in it, I feel so different to how I felt during the first album,” she said. That confidence is the through-line of the whole era, from the neon, nostalgic-yet-futuristic visual world built around it to the decision to headline arenas and theaters on three continents rather than easing into the step up.
Building on a Sold-Out Foundation
This is not a leap into the unknown. The A*POP World Tour follows 2025’s We Wanna Party Tour, Tyla’s first-ever headline run, which sold out dates across Asia and the UAE, including a reported $1.17 million gross at Tokyo’s Ariake Arena, per Pollstar. That tour proved she could carry rooms of that size on her own name, and the new one scales the ambition up accordingly, presented by Live Nation and reaching markets she has never headlined before.
The ticketing follows the now-standard rollout. An artist presale runs through Laylo starting Wednesday (July 29) at 10 a.m. local time, with general on-sale on Friday (July 31) at 10 a.m. local time via TylaWorld.com. For an artist who has spent two years being framed as the future of African pop’s global crossover, the A*POP World Tour is where that framing gets tested at the box office, across three continents, on her own terms. On the evidence of everything since “Water,” it is not a bet many would take against her.
